This teaching philosophy provides learners with opportunities for practical experience, through which learners are active and creative in learning and research, flexibly applying theory with practice to solve problems of professional practice.
- Introduction:
The Faculty of Natural Sciences Education was established on August 1, 2007, under the Decision No.180/ĐHSG-TC dated July 26, 2007 by the Presidentof Saigon University.
Currently, the Faculty’s organizational structure includes four departments: Department of Chemitry Education, Department of Biology Education, Department of Physics Education and Department of Natural Science Education. The Faculty currently has a total of 35 staffs, 33 of whom are lecturers (05 Associate Professors, 17 Ph.D holders, 03 Ph.D students, 08 Master holders), 01 supporting staff (Master) and 01 faculty secretary. The Faculty is currently operating 04 undergraduate programs: Physics Education, Chemistry Education, Biology Education, Natural Science Education; and Bachelor completion programsin Physics, Chemistry and Biology Education; 02 Masterprograms inOrganic Chemistryand Theoretical Chemistry and Physics Chemistry; 01 PhDprogram inOrganic Chemistry.
- Functions – Tasks of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Education:
To advise and assist the Presidentin managing, synthesizing, proposing and organizing the implementation of activities in training teachers of Chemistry Education, Physics Education, Biology Education and Natural Science Education.
- Vision – Mission of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Education:
By 2030, the Faculty of Natural Sciences Education will have become a high-quality institution in training, research, and technology transfer, providing high quality human resources on par with leading educational institutions in the region.
To perform the functions of education and applied research, technology transfer, and promoting cooperation to contribute to the development of the Teacher Education field and the Science-Technology field, thus fulfilling the directions of industrialization, modernization, and international integration of Vietnam.
