OFFICE OF UNDERGRADUATE AFFAIRS

1. Introduction:

The Office of Undergraduate Affairs was established under the Decision No.169/DHSG-TC dated July 26, 2007 by the Rector of Saigon University. The Office of Undergraduate Affairs is the functional division of the University under the management of the University Management Board.

2. Functions and duties:
   • Functions

The Office of Undergraduate Affairs has the functions of advising and assisting the Rector in managing, organizing the implementation of activities in the fields of education and devising plans of strategies for education development.

• Duties

1. a) Developing plans and proposals for annual enrollment; coordinating with the faculties in order to open new study majors and courses, organizing admissions for full-time training mode.
2. b) Devising general training plans for the academic years, managing and organizing the implementation of training activities.
3. c) Defining the objectives, adjusting and developing the training programs.
4. d) Organizing the implementation of practicum, internships and field trips.
5. e) Managing students’ study results, reviewing academic results to warn or suspend students who do not achieve the required academic results; considering graduation recognition, awarding diplomas and certificates.
6. f) Standing in the Admission Board and the Examination Council; coordinating with the faculties in organizing the opening ceremonies, graduation ceremonies and diploma-awarding ceremonies.
7. g) Coordinating in the administration and development of the training management software.
8. h) Coordinating with other divisions to manage the workload of officials and lecturers.
9. i) Coordinating with other divisions to perform tasks related to training and those required by the University.
