Brief Introduction
Saigon University was established pursuant to Decision No. 478 / QD-TTg by the Prime Minister – Nguyen Tan Dung dated April 25th, 2007. Saigon University is a state educational institution under the supervision of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee and the educational administration of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Saigon University is a multi-disciplinary university with various levels of education from intermediate, college, and undergraduate levels to graduate ones. Saigon University conducts the training programs in two modes of education: full-time and part-time (in-service program, expertise training program and transfered BA program). Having graduated, students are awarded: intermediate diplomas, bachelor degrees, engineering bachelor degrees, and master degrees.
Currently, Saigon University offers over 30 majors of bachelor level, 24 majors of the college level and 4 specialized majors of intermediate level in such areas as economy, engineering; socio-culture; politics, arts, and pedagogical expertise as well as 10 majors of graduate level.
What is more, Saigon University provides certain short courses for learners to achieve certificates in Foreign Languages, Informatics and Grade I or Grade II Pedagogy-expertise training as well as certificates in Information Technology and certain Expertise Applications.
