SAIGON UNIVERSITY GRADUATE STUDENTS IN EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT PARTICIPATE IN EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING AND CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM IN THAILAND

To strengthen the connection between academic training and practical experience while expanding international learning opportunities for students, Saigon University organized a Practical Learning Program for graduate students in Educational Management at Shinawatra University (SIU), Thailand, from August 28 to September 1, 2026.

As part of the program, the students visited the campus and learned about the educational environment and facilities at Shinawatra University – a private international university in Thailand. With a strong focus on international cooperation, the university has established partnerships and joint training programs with more than 150 universities worldwide. Shinawatra University also features a green campus model that integrates ecological spaces, aiming to create a modern learning environment in harmony with nature and the surrounding environment.

For the academic fields, the students participated in Educational Management Seminars featuring the topics “Transforming Educational Management in the AI Era – Strategic Leadership, Innovation, and Sustainable School Development” and “Practicing Educational Management Innovation – Strategic Planning, AI Applications, and School Improvement,” led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thachakorn Komol. The sessions addressed emerging requirements for educational management as artificial intelligence increasingly influences teaching and learning, school governance, and institutional development. They also broadened students’ understanding of the role of educational leaders in navigating transformation and adapting to changes in the modern educational environment.

The program continued with a visit to Srinakharinwirot Demonstration School – an experimental school affiliated with Srinakharinwirot University. In this occasion, students explored an educational model that emphasizes the development of scientific thinking, technological competence, foreign language proficiency, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on preparing learners for international integration.

During the visit, the delegation took part in an experience sharing session on School Curriculum and Teaching and Learning Management, led by Dr. Tichakorn Athitwarakul – Deputy Director of the Research and Academic Affairs Division at Srinakharinwirot Demonstration School. The session focused on sharing practical experience in developing and implementing educational curricula, ensuring alignment between teaching content, educational objectives, and the school’s overall development directions.

Alongside the academic activities, the students had free time to explore Thailand, with transportation support provided by Shinawatra University. This provided an opportunity to observe and learn about local life and culture through first-hand experiences.

The program concluded with a Certificate Awarding Ceremony and Farewell Party, recognizing the students’ learning, experiences, and cultural exchange at Shinawatra University.

Beyond its academic value, the program also contributed to developing essential competencies for working in an international environment, including communication, adaptability, independent learning, and intercultural collaboration. The experiences at Shinawatra University will serve as valuable practical learning for graduate students in Educational Management, supporting the development of their professional competencies, modern management perspectives, and readiness to respond to future educational reforms.
